Bones: "The Boy With The Answers" & "The Beginning In The End" thoughts

This was probably one of the most stressful episodes of Bones ever. I was literally freaking out over everything. The best part about it was that I was working when it aired and was able to watch it without commercials on my DVR which helped significantly.

I fucking hate that gravedigger, maybe it was just the actress who played her did a great job at pissing me and everyone else off. Every time, either Hodgins, Angela, Cam or Brennan had some solid evidence, the gravedigger was very patronizing, snide and rude. I'm not a lawyer, but I really don't think that if it was a real case that she would be able to get away with some of the things she said in the court room. If I were a juror I wouldn't have taken her seriously at all throughout all that, regardless of bias. I am so glad that she was convicted. I truly wish that Caroline Julian could be in every episode too.

SPOILER: Bones is definitely going to leave the Jeffersonian, Cam said it in the promo and Booth and Bones both look really stressed/strained:

I have a feeling that this will leave us with a Cliffhanger ending going into season 6 and there will still be ambiguity between Booth and Bones.

The story with Hodgins and Angela's father looks really good, but C'MON we don't care about that! all we want is to see Booth and Bones get together! (maybe if they stop being partners it might be possible, according to FBI rules)

HOLD ON A SECOND
: I went on tumblr before posting my opinion and saw that so many people are freaking out over this too. so much so that you think you are reading conspiracies for Lost (well not that drastic)

CHECK THIS OUT TOO: LINK

I'll probably re watch those too, I have seen a select episodes more than once but not that everything has almost come full circle, I need to go back an examine even the smallest details.

^ DID ANYONE ELSE THINK THAT THEY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER AWKWARDLY FOR TOO LONG HERE? I DID.

  1. STRESSFUL indeed. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. The Grave Digger is probably the most evil villain to appear on the show. I don't remember if you've seen them or not, but the episodes "Aliens in a Spaceship" and "The Hero in the Hold" (the latter of which might be my favorite Bones episode ever) should reaffirm your animosity.

It was a bit unrealistic that Hodgins and Brennan would look for evidence. One of the newer squints like Clark should've testified as an unbiased scientist. Then again, there wouldn't be quite as much conflict, so for the purpose of the story I guess that makes sense.

I also didn't understand how the phone number/GPS location was so easily dismissed. Sure, the sheriff was from Utah, but why didn't anyone mention that the number belonged to a pizza place? Why not bring in the sheriff himself to testify?

At the end of the episode, I just wanted to see Booth take Brennan home. I was really skeptical of that cab.

Until she's dead, I don't think we've seen the last of the Grave Digger. But I think we can do without her for a while. I'd like to see another villain story arc, like Gormogon from Season 3.

I'm not watching any previews for the finale, so I don't have any expectations right now. I'd like to keep it that way.

  2. There's always a lot of underlying issues that I feel they don't address on the show that could make a difference to what happens. But, if everything was completely logical/rational it wouldn't make for good TV. I don't think that Dr. Brennan would enjoy the show too much.

I remember watching the first episode of Season 5 over my aunt's house during Christmas Eve and my cousin and her husband were watching too. My Aunt works in a forensic lab and her husband was a cop. They kept pointing out so many things that would never happen in real life, that after about 10 minutes I decided to watch something else.

The preview doesn't really give anything away too much, but I can understand why you'd want to steer clear. I watched every the promo for The Office last season, and they were always parts in the episode that if watched prematurely "spoiled" the episode for you.

I think that they will do something that will get Zach back on the show because none of the interns are fitting and I don't think I could go another full season with this "new intern for each episode" shenanigan.
